The Manchester City boss had no desire to discuss the striker's future at the Etihad Stadium, although his mood did brighten afterwards
Pep Guardiola was in no mood to discuss Sergio Aguero's Manchester City future at his Friday press conference.
Both Guardiola and City have made clear that they do not want Aguero to leave the club this summer, although the striker himself insists they are yet to convey that message to him.
Aguero has repeatedly stated that he wants to stay at the Etihad Stadium but that he has three months to prove himself to City before they make a decision about his future at the end of the season.
Guardiola has grown tired of being asked about the situation in recent weeks and was clearly not prepared to discuss it any further ahead of City's game with Sunderland.
Guardiola was more jovial later in his press conference, however, joking with reporters about their injury enquiries, Gabriel Jesus' potential career as a singer, and his own nomination for the Premier League manager of the month award.
"Hopefully he comes back as soon as possible, then he will become a singer," Guardiola said of Jesus and his injury lay-off. "That is my dream."
