Everything you need to know ahead of the Premier League match at White Hart Lane as the Toffees visit north London

Tottenham face Everton this weekend as they attempt to continue their somewhat limited title charge in the 2016-17 season.

Spurs have lost just three games in the Premier League all season, and currently sit second, albeit 10 points behind runaway leaders Chelsea. The Blues, however, do not play until Monday – they will face West Ham – meaning Spurs can place some pressure on Antonio Conte's side with a victory at White Hart Lane.

TOTTENHAM INJURIES

Spurs have struggled with injuries thus far this season, and hold doubts over their central defensive duo, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

Both Belgian defenders were forced off during the 4-0 victory over Stoke City and, though it is hoped that both substitutions were merely precautionary, they are both slight doubts for the encounter with Everton.

Danny Rose, meanwhile, is yet to recover from a knee ligament injury, meaning Ben Davies will likely continue to deputise at left back.

Erik Lamela, too, remains on the sidelines with a hip injury, and is almost certain to miss out.

TOTTENHAM SUSPENSIONS

Spurs have no players suspended for the encounter at White Hart Lane as Mauricio Pochettino's side look to build on their win over Stoke last time out.

POTENTIAL TOTTENHAM LINE-UP

Spurs are set to play in their usual 3-4-3 formation, with the deputies to those potentially injured well established.

Pochettino will hope that both Alderweireld and Vertonghen are fit to start, but if they are not it is likely that the Argentine will revert to a four at the back formation, with Kevin Wimmer and Eric Dier at centre-back.

It has been widely reported, however, that both Alderweireld and Vertonghen were keen to come off as precautions, and thus Pochettino is likely to select them.

Elsewhere, Harry Kane will hope to continue his brilliant scoring run, having netted a hat-trick against Stoke, with the rest of the team largely unchanged.

EVERTON TEAM NEWS

Everton's challenge will not be made any easier by injuries to two key players. It was revealed earlier this month that Yannick Bolasie will miss the remainder of the year as he faces a knee operation.

Muhamed Besic will also certainly miss out, with a similar ACL knee injury set to rule him out for the foreseeable future.

Other than those two absentees, however, Ronald Koeman has an almost fully fit squad to choose from as the Toffees look to close the gap on the top seven.
