The midfielder scored his fourth Eredivisie goal of the season for struggling Sparta Rotterdam in a game that could prove vital to both teams
Manchester United may have spent a world record fee on Paul Pogba to bring some decisive goals to Old Trafford, but his brother Mathias is showing that free signings can make the difference too.
Having joined Sparta Rotterdam for free this season, the United midfielder's brother has finally found form in the Eredivisie at the right time and is proving he has a lot to offer.
Sparta, promoted back to the top flight this season, have been struggling after a good start to the campaign and are beginning to drift dangerously close to the bottom three.
Alex Pastoor's side were given little chance off getting a win over giant neighbours and Eredivisie leaders Feyenoord on Sunday, but within one minute of kick-off, Pogba had given them belief.
Jerson Cabral, who started his career at Feyenoord, sent the ball into the centre of the box, where Pogba rose between Terence Kongolo and Jan-Arie van der Heijden to head beyond ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones.
It is Pogba's fourth league goal of the season and saw them go five points clear of the relegation playoff places as they claimed the win.
